i loved how the FMC and MMC grew in this book. I know it’s controversial, but I like Rune. How he explained “play” resonated.
The story and plot were wonderful as well as the cast and I really loved that. the mail played the male parts and the female played the female parts. even in the middle of each chapters. it really adds to the book
It had an interesting start but quickly devolved. MMC and FMC were not compelling. MMC creepy and FMC whiney.
I enjoyed each character speaking their part. The story line pulled me in. The twists of the characters, how they were all intertwined, and how we assume we know someone, but do we?
Talk about playing the martyr…. You ever meet someone who acts like they are always taking the high road but are actually just blindly selfish? It’s like you’re supposed to see her as this Cinderella type, all sweet and genuine but her actions say otherwise. The voice didn’t help. I’m really wishing I hadn’t spent..
As a huge vampire lover, I went into this dark fantasy romance with high hopes—but it fell flat for me. The book had some fun, unique elements—like firebirds, shadow birds, vampire clans, and a brewing war between human-born and pure vampires. But despite the creative worldbuilding, Scarlett’s constant self-loathing made the story hard to enjoy,..
I actually couldn’t stand to listen to the male voice actor, like I could barely understand anything he was saying through the egregious vocal fry. It was giving “you’ve been a vewwy nawty girl pwincess”…EW!!!
Just a great ride !! I definitely was kept guessing and excited the whole story and they would recommend
The story line sounded interesting but execution was not there. No feeling for the characters. Things progressed too quickly and felt forced or poorly put together. DNF. The male character voice sounded like an old man voice and I couldn’t get into the romance because of it.
