Amazing information about the history of hunting in Arkansas!! This helps understand the AGF history also!
I know this is from a bygone era but is the author really considered one of the greats of that century? Such overdramatized narration and emphasis on how fragile and beautiful the women were was annoying. I got through 3 hours and had to stop.
I liked what great teachers do differently. This was just okay. I didn’t learn that much. My master’s program taught me most of these things. If you haven’t been through an education administration program, this would definitely be beneficial to you.
Interesting, funny, tragic stories with some good advice sprinkled in. True stories are more interesting to me. Had to take a break partway through because of the stories about children being abused, neglected, murdered. Very sorry about the psychological toll the job takes on police. Very sorry for the disrespect shown the police. January 2026..
The narrator is so bad that I can’t tell if I genuinely dislike the story or not… who are the liars that gave all these five-star ratings?
I only wish it was not written with such clearly biased language. That doesn’t mean I don’t think it makes great points and provides important background. Though perhaps attempting to highlight such wrongdoing without anger and judgement may not be possible, I feel it would not be well-received by the ones who most need to..
It’s a great book. Had my doubts about this man cause of the things I heard about him. However I just think that the stories that are mentioned in the book sound awful realistic to me. Truth or fiction this book is an absolute masterpiece of skullduggery.
Nothing matches Nealen’s military thrillers. This is my second time through the series and they’re just as impossible to put down now as they were the first time through. He’s a gifted writer with real world experience that shines through. The narrator is terrific for the job too. Good stuff all the way around.
Reader was horrible. All voices were so similar that I had a hard time figuring out which one was speaking unless the author told me. Also some morphed into a previously “used” voice from a different character.
