I really didn’t like the main character. I struggled to listen to this story until the end. I wouldn’t recommend it.

If it wasn’t for how dumb the character to is I’d like this but it leaves out to much, like he does quest but rarely gets rewards, the progression stinks and did I mention he’s just fricken dumb….!!!!

I am about halfway through and struggling to finish. It might be a combination of the writing and the way the narrator speaks, but it’s a slog. Which is frustrating considering the book has a very interesting premise. I find myself actively rooting for the monsters every time the daughter speaks.

The only thing I liked was the ability to have the strength to finish the book. It just keep going on and on. Magens excessive thought was the killer. Why didn’t someone take her out with her kid putting an end to it. This could have been written in just two books.

This book series was terrible. Unrealistic and written by author with zero practical survival knowledge. It’s strong woman weak dumb navy seal crap. I actually used this book to fall asleep at night because it’s better than sleeping pills. Waste your time if you want but remember this review because I’m not exaggerating how poorly..

This is the first time reading this author. I REALLY disliked this book. Had a hard time getting through it but I listened to the end. Elementary and cheesy dialogue. The story was also so boring and uninteresting. I thought it might be written for a middle schooler or something. I won’t read another book..

No better than a bad B movie. Not researched well other than the holistic. Terrible.

It was painful to listen to. the writer kept repeating the same descriptions and background over and over. I felt like it was written for a kid. I would not recommend it. if you are interested in the topic, there are way better options.

Interesting story that falls flat. I found the characters annoying and narration sub par.
