My only issue with this entire book series was that they never once ran into a police officer, I mean, they traveled so far and there wasn’t one town that was still lawful. They were only on the road for a few weeks and they ran into so many bad people and not enough good..

the eps don’t play in order when starting at episode one. I do like the gore aspect of the series
I like the story the narrator is good. It felt a little haphazard at times but overall it’s a great one different type of a story.
Reads like a sappy/cringey anime ‘numuwu’. Told from the female perspective it mostly centers on child birth, raising children, family, emotionless husband, loveless marriage, past loves oh also all the white people are slaves. Not what expected or enjoyed, too meandering, too much waffle and ultimately badly written.

Excellent story telling and the action had me at the edge of my seat can’t wait for the next one. As much as I wanted to listen to this in one day I had to restrain myself and slowly listen to it and enjoy it like fine wine.
I enjoy the world of the grand game overall but the fact that no major story point ever sees resolution before the end of the book is kind of infuriating, It’s not a Saturday morning anime episode, cliffhangers don’t work. Me too! But despite that book cover you might love, I’m listening to chapter 13 in BOOK TWO (that’s the next book not this one) they have just now got it together and the glow plugs on the boat are being turned on. We shall see if it will be got time or 43 more..
