This book has everything you’d want in fantasy. Interesting abilities used creatively, the growth and bonds of family, a bigger world to explore.I eagerly await a sequel.

I thought the book was interesting and kept me involved, the voice of the narrator was excellent.

Amazing. I can’t express how well these characters are written. There are reasons to love them, reasons to hate some of them, and then all of a sudden your feeling can change because the author has included such rich detail about them. Incredible work. Highly recommend. Wish there was more.

I heard good things about Sword of Kaigen so I excitedly bought it. After the 6 hour mark I realized the entire first act is just exposition.
