The character development is amazing, the twist and turns. It gives such a rich history for being a standalone book. The battles are intense and described well. Would highly recommend, I’m new you fantasy and reading, this is a great book to start if you’re up for the length.

This starts with a great premise, but unfortunately falls flat. I had heard that you just have to stick with it to get to the great battle scenes but when I got to that part they felt flashy but ultimately basic, there’s only so many times a sword can “hit a spinal cord” before it..
