the dead south series is absolutely great. it is definitely in my top ten reads.

The story was over all good but Megan is badly written. She’s deep in her feelings the whole time and constantly blaming herself for every bad thing that happens, gets old fast. after the second person she got killed she would be removed from any group that that wants to survive.

The stealth class, cunning strategy, and political navigation feels like a fresh take in Litrpg. MC is likeable, builds relationships, brain over brawn. World building is good, the story checks all the boxes with a fresh class and intuitive fighting style that isn’t weird, wild or over the top like other books.

Grace Hamilton never disappoints me with her books she gives you the perfect balance of character development and action. Highly recommend this series as well as her others. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I really like the setting of this book. The characters are great. Be prepared, this book is very sad and emotional. It takes a bit to get going, but it’s worth it!

This was such a beautiful story. The only gripe I have with it is that I would like to know more about the story of some characters but, as a stand alone it was perfect! Great story, great detail, great narration!
