This book took me thru it. Amazing characters amazing magic system I never wanted it to be over it’s a stand alone that I wanted to be a series.

I love when you can score an entire series for just one credit! This is a pretty good one, Has a great ending! I listened while commuting to work and really enjoyed it.

it was hard finishing this series. too bad the hee bravest and most willing to do what needed to be done was a 14 year old girl

Overall solid story. At times you want to smack some of the characters for decisions they make. A few of the twists were predictable, but others came out of nowhere. Worth the time for sure.

Why did memoruuu have to dieeeeeee. But is a good book overall. Fun story that somehow is from old times but with airplanes and guns.

Heartfelt and gripping the stand alone fantasy informed by WWII Japanese history and Avatar the last Airbender had me in tears. Exceptional must read. If you read for characters who won’t find any better ones

I know it’s hard to continue a story, but man… I really wish this one kept going.

I’m honestly broken after listening to this. It’s a beautiful story, but there’s so much pain. I was crying in public too often!! And I’m unsure if I’m completely happy with the ending, but I suppose that’s life… part of what makes this so resonant. I wish there was a sequel!

A main character died and it ends very…. Meh. Not bad but definitely a different type of storytelling than I was used too.
