Really well read, with decent character development and imaginative combat system. Not a perfect story but did make me eager to learn more about the world in which SoK is set.

This starts with a great premise, but unfortunately falls flat. I had heard that you just have to stick with it to get to the great battle scenes but when I got to that part they felt flashy but ultimately basic, there’s only so many times a sword can “hit a spinal cord” before it..

After the fourth chapter or so, I wished I could have returned the series. I paid cash for it, and could not. I forced myself to listen to half of the omnibus and could not get into it at all. The main characters have unbelievable conflicts with themselves as well as an overall poor story…
