Really well read, with decent character development and imaginative combat system. Not a perfect story but did make me eager to learn more about the world in which SoK is set.

The character development is amazing, the twist and turns. It gives such a rich history for being a standalone book. The battles are intense and described well. Would highly recommend, I’m new you fantasy and reading, this is a great book to start if you’re up for the length.
This starts with a great premise, but unfortunately falls flat. I had heard that you just have to stick with it to get to the great battle scenes but when I got to that part they felt flashy but ultimately basic, there’s only so many times a sword can “hit a spinal cord” before it..
two and a half bucks in the exact same location doing practically nothing. thankfully The story is moving on to a new arc and hopefully it doesn’t get so bogged down
The story really wasn’t about what I thought it would be about. I was pleasantly suprised.

After the fourth chapter or so, I wished I could have returned the series. I paid cash for it, and could not. I forced myself to listen to half of the omnibus and could not get into it at all. The main characters have unbelievable conflicts with themselves as well as an overall poor story…

This remains the best LitRPG series I’ve delved into. As always, I do not recommend this to anyone who has not played DnD, MMORPGs, or enjoyed Manga/Anime akin to Sword Art Online. Not that there is anything wrong with that, you just likely wouldn’t find enjoyment in these pages.
Fantastic story. Action, drama, emotionally compelling. Truly something for everyone. Excellent character development throughout the entire book. Highly recommend!
