I like the concept, the narration is to long winded for me. Dragging out the obvious. Just my humble opinion. I def enjoyed the book. And recommend reading!

Military stories and suicide are not what I’m normally attracted to but I’m very glad I chose this book. Definitely gave warm fuzzies and helps us to understand and empathize with veterans. Enjoyed everything about this book

Loved the characters, the digs especially! And the adventures going across country to get his kids and all the desperate hooligans they ran into.

I learned more about guns than I’ve ever known. Maybe I’ve learned more about humans than I’ve ever known. Riding along with this blended post apocalyptic family has been one of the most real literary adventures of ever experienced. Thank you for having me on board.

the story, the performance, everything is just stunning. the best book i came across in 2025. 10/10 i recommend it. raw and intense. the mature version of the standard YA fantasy where all the characters make selfish teenager choices – finally a mature approach to those.

what i dont like is how he bends to anybody whim he is giving the brotherhood the chance of a lifetime but he wants to give them everything all the spoils of his war that’s pathetic, like he doesn’t have his own people he has to support. and he let people who really dont contribute..

Surpringly good, a it little slow for the first few chapters but it really picks up.

I have no choice but to listen often. Love the characters. Well with my time. I am so happy I found a very good large book collection
