All the constant snarkiness, mismatched love triangles, and white knighting made me feel like I was reading a harem fantasy. The dialogue is extremely basic. The sound was crisp and easy to understand, but there was not much difference between the character voices. Was constantly getting confused as to who was talking to who.

the writing is done well but i feel like the style has degraded or changed for some reason. there is a lot of exposition. there’s just too much information presented I dont need to know about. why tell me the name of an enemy you’re about to kill? why tell me about every characters motive?..
This book was SO hyped up as this incredible book. And don’t get me wrong it is good and worth your time. Some great characters and a cool world. However, it just felt a little flat. Some character arcs felt quick and not completely earned.
