Struggling to get through. The main character is juvenile at best. 24 years old is laughable. Everything about him, from his awkward social bumblings to his lack of basic reasoning skills, screams teenage angst. His augments make things clunky and forced. In this Story an EMP happens (never told how this occurred) an people just minutes before everything goes out get a text from the government stating an emp occurred.This has found family, desperation for family members, sperated family trying to find each other. Narrator does a Great job with the characters and entire storyline.
This kept me engaged from beginning to end. An amazing standalone that I did not want to end.

The narrator mispronounced words such as “Boogeyman”. He kept calling Fox the “Bogeyman”. This was one of the very annoying mispronounced words. Overall I did like the plot but it got a bit predictable especially with the “few” supplies at the cabin when it was said they had enough until spring. I don’t regret listening..

This book is a testament to overwhelming odds, and using the right class skills to overcome. With planning, the MC is able to overcome a lot of things. This is like a more planned out James Bond movie. This is similar to the Resonance cycle by this author in pacing, and fights. Quite enjoyed it!

Really enjoyed this book. A ton of action and some character development that is really interesting. I am looking forward to see where the story goes and thought the audio performance was excellent!
