Just a fun book, the main character is given a class to be something she doesn’t want, and through a series of fun/crazy events she becomes something more and goes on an adventure of a life time.
On par with the best running stories I’ve ever come across. Nothing in terms of technique or performance guidance, but incredible with respect to overcoming odds and inspiring to get back to training.
great example of american authors..their grasp of history,mans character,fiction,naration,and how to weave it all together,to create a story as action packed,emotional,and realalistic..HIGHLY possible future…Then the ending HEALED all the gut renching tramatic details of the story..I am a product of The Citadel,and I cried like a baby at the healing ending the talented authors had..
2 dimensional characters. Felt like a story written by a teenager. Long winded, Full of boring attempts at showing emotion, attempts that failed miserably. The author has clearly not heard of the concept of showing not telling.
This story seemed to jump around a lot to me. Almost like the author was like, “oh yeah. That’d be cool to add in.” This doesn’t feel like a stand alone story. It feels like a world that is just beginning to be explored I don’t think we’ll ever see the main characters from this..
Another great series by Grace. Keep them coming. They are always great. Different points of view for possible scenarios are more than entertainment, they’re learning opportunities.
The story was great with lots of unexpected turns and I liked the way the story moved from the different characters point of view. The only tiny drawback was the repetitive bullet description. It was a bit overdone in the first couple of books. The narration was very good as well! I really enjoyed listening..
I was 50/50 on this one but decided to try it. Loved it. Do yourself a favor and try it 🙂

The characters are constantly getting placed in peril because of an EMP. Their journey is very interesting. I would recommend this series.
This was a great listen. It is an exciting adventure full of struggles and achievements. I can’t wait to see where the story goes from here.
