I suppose the main female character was written like this for a reason, but it doesn’t detract from 20+ hours of eye rolling, unnecessary apologies from an emotionally abused woman. While the ending partially redeemed her character, I could not help but be immensely frustrated with her and almost dropped the book on multiple occasions…
there arnt really any boring parts and paced well. was really enjoyable, will be buying the rest of the series

Love it from beginning to end! The story plot was right on the money and not too much stat sheets to listen to either. Love the character development and world building! Can’t wait to see if book 2 keeps up with this awesome flow!

Been reading and listening to fantasy, sword and sorcery books for over 40 years and this series (and author) are in my top 5 list. Great characters i will sorely miss as the series ends!
After listening for a bit I got so pissed off I just had to stop listening. Trying to find out how to return this crap now.

Keeping the secret of the killer till close to the end was well done. Great clues and lots of twist and turns. Loved seeing all the characters from previous books. Cannot wait to listen to the next one.

Narrator cadence was weird. Setting was not what I was expecting -> did not expect smartphones, tvs and fighter jets
It reads slow reminds me of a B grade Amazon move. I usually like this type of story but not this one. Couldn’t finish.

As a United States history teacher, there was little information I didn’t already know. With that being said, it was a very well-written account of both founders. I found the section on their opposing views on slavery to be quite fascinating.
