The premise of the book doesn’t get touched on till almost the end of it and the last 30 min was all recap…. Totally not needed because the MC’s stat sheet is shown so often throughout the book.Almost nothing storyline-wise was accomplished.
This is terrible. Every person in this story appears to be an idiot. They prove it time and time again.
decent story, didn’t need to be this long but would recommend. I’m definitely interested in the world and the lore most.
I liked the word descriptions and the action scenes. They really compelled the story forward. I wish there were more.

Its a filler book for me while other things are releasing. Its alright. i read the first 4 and listened to this. I would say reading is better because you can skip the foreseeing things that add annoyance that aren’t needed. Absolutely incredible story. The characters are so rich and the story, while slow, will take hold of you so completely you won’t be able to stop listening. The narrator does such wonderful justice to the story and characters too, I have never cried when listening to an audiobook as normally it feels a little removed,..
If I had to give you one book to start a Norse Pagan path this would be it. It dispels a lot of myths that pop culture perpetuates, as well as gives information that’s often overlooked.
