Overall, the book was a little slow, but I did thoroughly enjoy the story. unfortunately, we didn’t get to some points. I really wanted to in the book, but it did open up a lot more avenues for the series to continue.

story has very good potential but it’s like it’s written by a liberal millennial who went to great lengths to be supper politically correct and not offend anyone. dialog is super unrealistic and cringy at times. there’s no curse words at all and its very impersonal. characters will make a joke, then explain the joke,..
Books normally start out building the world till the climax at the end. This one is structured differently and I’m not sure I’m a fan. Also it’s a standalone book but ends when other bad things are happening but it doesn’t get addressed. It had great action that was not at all predictable.

Too much Extreme Fantasy.Basic knowledge of EMPs CMEs is lacking. Society turning into MadMax within hours was Absurd. Society would take a week or two to even realize and be convinced the lights weren’t coming back on, let alone start hunting down and attacking like animals in 4 hours or even 8 days in.Big difference..
