The first half of the book was so so so good. Fun world, interesting characters, building up towards a great conflict. But it kind of stumbled from there. I liked it how things got tied up, but the pacing was just off a bit. Oh well, still solid.
Another tired story about an idiot woman that constantly gets the rest of her survivor group in bad situations. And a boyfriend that despite being a SEAL and an Alpha male puts up with her stupid decisions. Not plausible. I wish authors would put this in the book description. It would stop a bunch of..
I do not enjoy giving a negative review, however feel responsible to save people time and money with this one. I was intrigued with the summary and storm’s hitting east coast. However the story is extremely over detailed on the simplest of everything. character’s are just plane bland and completely unrealistic behaviors. I made it..
A large part of the struggle was the performance. It sounded like I was listening to some junior high schooler. Beyond that, as others have noted, certainly not in the top of it’s genre and not even on par with some of the author’s other works. One and done for me.
The Story was great and I really enjoyed it. Misaki was frustrating for the first half of the story and I grew to love some of these characters only to have my heart ripped out. And I could’ve lives without all of the time words that were in Japanese, it seemed excessive to be honest…
Author gets those characters deep in your mind. Love the story lines and those constant twists. As a female there were times I wanted to slap Megan and her calamities but would recommend
Just a fun book, the main character is given a class to be something she doesn’t want, and through a series of fun/crazy events she becomes something more and goes on an adventure of a life time.
On par with the best running stories I’ve ever come across. Nothing in terms of technique or performance guidance, but incredible with respect to overcoming odds and inspiring to get back to training.
