This was awful. I love this genre and can usually find something good to say. I guess I did appreciate that there was not much filthy language. The scenarios were used over and over. The same words and descriptions were used again and again. It was such poor writing. I wish I had not wasted..

I liked the story. The performance was superb!!! I really got sick of Megan!! One minute wanting to go on her own and the next being a little baby!!! If I were Wyatt, I’d left her the first time she tried to be a hero!!! But, it was a good series!!
I originally found this book on YouTube. It was so good that I got on Audible and purchased it. I am purchasing the sequel now and the final book after. The story feels like a fantasy novel based on martial arts instead of magic. It’s both refreshing and satisfying and I would recommend this book..

The author tries way way too hard to be clever. Unfortunately this makes the story quite convoluted while also making the MC look stupid. It also makes it so it feels like the story never moves forward. in between the convolution and annoyances the story is fun enough.
I didn’t love it. Asian names are hard for me to keep track of, a personal failing but renaming increments of time is straight annoying. time as a concept means a lot, especially when describing fighting and there was a strange name for every single increment of time which makes the meaning less and interrupts..
I loved all the characters and the story. I especially enjoyed all the helpful and useful prepping information.
this is basically the same exact book as the underworld series but I listened to all 6 books the first is level up or die this one has almost the same exact words the characters names and genders are a little diffrent but totally the same dont buy if you do look up underworld made..
