This is not bad but it is a waste. I have know idea what the author wants to do with all that writing but its not good

Review from Carry On: Stan Zuray’s Journey from Boston Greaser to Alaskan Homesteader →
I love hearing the experiences of homesteaders. I’m an outdoorsman myself. But short of ending up in a dire life/death scenario, homesteading is the ultimate living on the edge. Meaning making due with minimal resources.
Storyline moved along very smoothly, great pace of the orators voice, this could easily transpire. easy to imagine you are there with the characters.
Hard to get past some errors. For instance, calling a CME, event an EMP event throughout the book. A clear dislike for certain guns. So much more. Overall a hard listen.
this is the worst seal character I have ever listened to or read I now know what it’s like to be inside the mind of a bipolar overthinking woman I do not recommend this book I didn’t make it to book three before I went to another book to try to get a break to..
I don’t usually listen to fiction. This book was great! The twists and turns and overall story line was amazing! As a runner myself, it was riveting!
It’s poorly written. the conversations are not believable. it’s a bad premise modern sword magic but different planet but obviously Japanese customs kind of. I don’t know I’m not Japanese and he doesn’t explain what is going on and why. time with characters is quick and he doesn’t do a good job at having you..
I like this type of world where there’s a game system in place already. So you don’t have people coming in from another world, trying to figure out the system. Instead you’re learning about characters who’ve grown up with the system and are trying to work it to their advantage
The lead character is a woman who had, per the author’s description, no skills in survival, self defense, situational awareness, etc., but was the primary decision maker for a group of 12 plus people, even over the group’s original family core, a prior service doctor (female), a prior service special forces guy, and several people..
