Awesome story with a tragic ending. I highly recommend this book to everyone, especially runners
Great Book
Review from The Slummer: Quarters Till Death →
This series is fantastic; this book in particular. There are a couple scenes that start out seeming way out of place…ahem, tundra, but then the author finishes the story arc and it turns out great. Can’t recommend enough.
The first half is great, the second half was terrible. Some the characters were carefully crafted and nuanced, and others inconsistent and unsatisfying. I don’t know how to feel about this book. I think it needed another developmental editing pass.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Plenty if mystery, suspense and adventure. I Imagined a scenario in which I became my world of Warcraft warrior and entered Azeroth for real! The only negative for me was Michael’s internal monologue is a little annoying at times. All together a great book series, can’t wait to read the..
I had to switch to reading, the story was good, but the narrator was HORRIBLE. So read don’t listen!
Very good and informative for an intro step into Viking lore. I really liked how it was laid out methodically so that part one gave thorough introductions and thought processes leading into part two with the stories in a methodical order.
Enjoyed the story line. Narrator was good. But the main character, Megan, was irritating. Had I not been involved with the storyline I would have not been invested enough to finish the series. Anyone as self-absorbed and guilt ridden would not survive a post-apocalyptic scenario as described in the story. I would have preferred a..
Started off with an over abundance of mother protecting daughter scenes, but it evolved into a great series pulling you into the characters lives and bonds. I purchased the box set with all 6 books which was nice. Thank you for not having profanity. Was looking for another author like Mark Goodwin. This is close..
it’s a fast paced book that is good enough as long as you read it without thinking. As soon as you start thinking about the plot, you realise it’s absolutely absurd. Nothing would have happened like that if there was a solar flare. Plus it’s full of stupid mistakes – e.g. picking an entire cherry..
