Started book 2 couldn’t finish , I swear the characters are dumb as rocks fir survivalist or military men. Maybe it’s because I am military and that’s why I can’t handle this whine mess, or break of protocol and discipline… the story just rambles on about what is, does it mean, temper tantrum kids let’s..
The storyline kept me interested for the next chapter. When you include hurricanes, gangs, tigers and foreign enemies, you get a good book.

Basic ideas are there but really turned into Highlander meets Young Guns. A lot could be trimmed from first chapters to increase story pace. The narration was painful to hear.
Each twist and character more real and raw than the last. I cried, I laughed, I had to explain away sudden gasps to my coworkers. All around, possibly the best reads of my last year!

I loved 99% of this book… the romance with the queen felt forced and wierd. I think adding any more main characters who are LGBTQ into the story takes away from the excellent romance build already, but maybe that’s just me. I also loved the fan girl chase lol that was great
