Long Delays followed by predictable catastrophe. I don’t like books where you are supposed to want the tragedy to be averted for the whole book while you watch the characters delude themselves into choosing the course of events that bring them to pass.
Best book I’ve ever read over Norse Mythology. He breaks it all down in a way that is completely understandable and easy to remember. Seriously, check out this book if you’re interested in the Viking Age and Norse Mythology.
An average telling of a post pandemic tale. Characters were predictable except that they really didn’t behave as one would expect with regard to grieving. It felt wrong for most of the characters to act so cavalierly only days after losing loved ones.
