I enjoyed the book for the most part. It is very well written and with the narration , you feel like your actually there. Unfortunately the story line is predictable or at least I felt it was. It is worth the listen.

I disliked all the switching viewpoints, and the way it kept referring to the protagonist as ‘The Officer’, he stopped being one pretty soon.
The MC has some typical fantasy cliches of making the same mistakes over and over ending up in stupid situations that could be avoided.
