Plot does not get too complicated to follow through the whole trip. Almost could feel like I was riding along with them during the struggle. Concept and struggles seemed like something that could really happen. Would say 12 and up due to the violence, but commercial on public tv and games are a lot more..

Each book has its own unique storyline the family have to struggle through. All are realistic and sad. Am going to say, thank goodness that he was a prepared more than others.
Makes me connect with the characters, the situations they encountered seemed believable. Thank Gosh no zombies. An intense start to a 15 book series. No vulgar or raunchy stuff, but does have violence of course. Would recommend to anyone 12 and up. Video cane shave more violence than this, realistic story of a man trying..
Simply, Amazing. Nothing else. Great story, great character, great job. This will be one of my favorite books ever.

I held out hoping it would get better but book 2 is even worse, Spencer is definitely a big wimp an must have adhd ! Good thing it was a free read or I would have been mad!

The story had way to much time f Spencer’s what ifs an imagination wondering. Spencer is kinda a wimp!
all words, no point, no twists, no interest…..I would have returned for a refund if the series had not been free….. returned anyway.
Too long between periods of action and not enough reference to details of radiation so somewhat unbelievable
I enjoyed this book it’s a lot more slice of life than fantasy Misaki and Mamoru are great characters it’s more about mental health and overcoming family issues more than the fractured world their apart of

I really enjoyed this entire series. The pacing was pretty good. The pacing in this book was a little fast maybe in order to finish out the story, but it wasn’t so fast as to be bad.The narration throughout the whole story was excellent.The characters show appropriate growth through the whole story, and I believe..
