The story is well written and the characters are well developed. The reader performance sounds a little forced at times, but otherwise they did great. Overall the series is really entertaining, but where does the story go next? It seems like the author could have written about the trip back to Colorado.

I loved this book, it’s a spinoff from The Dark Roads series and it’s starting out great. Narration is good, characters are like family now. I also love the dogs in the series.
