How this army ranger hasn’t slapped the eye roll out of his son yet is beyond me. I’m glad I didn’t spend a credit on any of this story. I listen to see how things end but no wonder Ben keeps falling into traps since his thoughts are on everybody’s Feelings.
What a rollercoaster. You really do go through all the emotions while going through this book. An absolutely stunning work of art. I highly recommend this book to anyone willing to read/listen to it. I’m however sad that there won’t be anymore books linked to this amazing world.
I appreciated the lack of cursing, sex, etc. and on that note, this would be a safe listen for tweens. However, this was so boring. Book 1-3 was excellent. Andrew Tell is my favorite narrator of post apocalyptic audio. 4-6 was just okay. Deb was unlikable, she made 4-6 unable. I forwarded through until book 6. Book 6 included most of the original characters.

I enjoyed the narration and the storyline. It is nice to have a book without foul language to enjoy around young adults.
i’ve greatly enjoyed the world and characters created by Tom the author, but the MC seems to be the only one with abilities in most fights. Many times Michael wins the fights with little to no mention of abilities being used against him. If he has all these wonderful abilities why are other players so..
I read about the book on Reddit where imo it is a bit overhyped. Was a good book overall, narration was done well.
