liked the story line but some of the lines were a little too much…too much “Good job buddy”.
The lack of information on what happened. I wish there were more information on how to survive. How to eat things that grew in nature.
I just want to tell them, “Don’t drink the Koolaide”. Love this series and how none of the main characters are wimps.

I didn’t find the story plausible because the entire country’s infrastructure, government, and economy broke down within days of the power outage. People became lawless within a day. They traveled across the country with barely seeing anyone. I just don’t think American would have fallen apart that quickly. I try not to complain about plausible..
where are all the other people? no way the hospital would have enough food for that long.plus the generator not being installed? not likely
good idea- but author forgets where characters are, which creatures are in play, writing is choppy and messy- things like ‘one thing on their mind-‘ names 3. odd phrasing- there is a difference between thrashing humans and humans thrashing etc etc. logic errors….the largest X then names a ridiculously understated size and weight for that..

I figured there were two writers, the father who came up with a good story and a 15 year old son who wrote the dialogue. Does anyone really talk like this. Too bad the narrators sounds like reads to us like we are 3rd graders.
I enjoyed the first 5 books in the series, I stayed interested- as Ben and Joel and Ali made it through each of their “adventures”.
