Without spoilers – I liked the major twist a lot and thought it was great how that was dealt with (specifically the duel chapter) but the end of the story feels like it’s the first book of a trilogy. Final chapter easily sets up a minor antagonist and the plot twist in the middle sets..
I’d say this story is like a Naruto crossed with avatar the last Airbender meets samurai with modernism. There is quite a bit of influence from the first and second world war with the Japanese classic empire propaganda style influences. I’d say the entire story was fantastic— heart wrenching.
