I did not like the story. Very unrealistic in so many ways. Illogical. Not necessarily the EMP but the way they handled it. Dialogue lame. I partially blame audiobooks for providing a five minute preview when 2 1/2 of those minutes are introduction.

no idea why this is five books it should have only been one. sequel could be mom coming to find her kids.
twas incredible. initial felt like avatar the last Airbender but ended up so much deeper in all regards. I wish there was a continuation of the story.
Why could the narrator not take 10 minutes to prepare with correct pronunciation of even simple Japanese honorifics. An amazing story that was almost unlistenable due to what feels like lack of care on the narrators part. Two-sama instead of Tousama, it’s truly crazy to me that this was allowed throughout the book.
This is about half a story as the second half of the book is utter dross, save yourself some money and burn it instead.

Interesting characters, not all characters is flesh out as they might have been. Pretty basic post apocalyptic story, with a couple of nice twists . All in all, an enjoyable listen.
Really enjoyed the first 2/3. of the book but ultimately it has some structural issues and many promising plot setup will as of writing never be resolved as there will be no follow-up books. great performance but the narrator has to be said.

Principal character has A God complex and this is basically 15 books that were covered in the first., ver batim. I have heard every thought, action, thought, the next persons thought, action, result. Leaving the glaring shortcomings with knowledge of any gun, car, human body, or thought and how to process the thought. Laziest writing..

Have read many of this author’s books. This not nearly as enjoyable. A bit far out and characters just so so.
