A lot of the themes and ideas are great! Though the pacing was a real drag. The world was also extremely interesting so to find out this story is a standalone bummed me out.

Just not my style. Good book though. Characters felt flat at times. Very slow beginning then suddenly it picked up.
Well written if somewhat predictable to those who have considered societal collapse. Some prepper biases and predujeses creap in, but then real people have the views they have by reason of their personal experience. All in all a good read, never boring.
