This story- while horrific as reality- was well written and had exceptional narration.The overall importance placed on family resilience- was miraculous and remarkable!Hard to put down!

Loved this book! The continuation of the Dark Road series has been great now if the next book will hurry up and come out so I can see How Ben, Joel and Allie eliminate this threat and get Brad home safe and sound!!!!

You don’t see very many stories with a strong FMC in her 30s. I loved this adventure with great action and character development. New favorite read.

Boom was great, but the main issue with the narration was the poor pronunciation of the Japanese words – of which there are a lot.
If you are a jaded fantasy or sci-fi listener & have done all the classics, smashed all the new authors & are at a loss for a new listen this book is for you. Culture, action, depth of character, incredible world building and a super story wrapped up in an exciting book that I tried..
decent story, very low stakes most of the time, too short in any given scenario to have real depth. felt afraid to have anything actually bad happen to any major characters throughout. very middle of the road book. good narrator though.
