I really enjoyed learning so much about apples and their interconnections to humankind. A wonderful mix of interesting history, comical anecdotes and commentary.

Well developed characters and depth of detail in the story and the plot line.. good to follow the series as the main character is really like able and a decent detective not a dejected outcast with stereotypical relationship problems

N.C. Lewis is fantastically entertaining and I can’t wait to hear the next book. PLUS, the performance of the books: no one else would do!
The story line did not flow from the beginning. Characters were not well defined. Re-read the first six chapters four times. Alas, the abrasive voice of the narrator pushed me to give up.

I would possibly have downloaded the whole series but I am thankful I did not. The narration, as far as I am concerned, is amateurish and extremely difficult to listen to. As a life long lover of Cumbria and the Lake District I would be upset to be portrayed like this.
