Heartbreaking

Review from The Kingdom of Quail →

This was an emotional book. Keep your kleenex handy. My heart broke for these characters. There is trauma, loss, betrayal, hope and birth. The book was well written. The execution of narration by David Allen Vargo was mind- blowing. The conviction of emotions shows the level of his talents as a trained actor. He was..

This story literally put me through the ringer. I felt a myriad of emotions while listening to this. I wanted to stop and not come back. It seemed this guy could catch a break, and he seemed like he had great strength of character to go through so much. He had perseverance and integrity. Hard..

Bad Writing and a bad reader

Review from Silence of the Missing →

This book was painfully bad. There is a lot of bad here. Character names are really terrible. The reader couldn’t pronounce barista correctly. But my main gripe is that the story was plain awful. I couldn’t return the book because I didn’t used a credit to buy it.

A Hidden Gem!

Review from I Survived Gettysburg →

I went into this book not entirely sure what to expect as a Civil War buff. History meets ghost story…..and a great one at that! I was taken into the storyline within minutes. The research and knowledge into the war is spot on but the story-telling was intriguingly good. Just enough graphic detail to capture..

Suspensful Romantic Mystery

Review from Silence of the Missing →

Rick R Reed writes “Silence of the Missing” with a gothic-like atmosphere, infusing this romantic mystery/suspense tale in a spooky, other-worldly foreboding. David Allen Vargo delivers a wonderful performance as narrator. The production value is top-notch. The book has plot holes, implausibilities, and unanswered questions that I couldn’t quite look past. This is probably just..

Hand-wringing suspense

Review from Silence of the Missing →

I experienced this story fully via audiobook with an occasional follow on the e-book. A surprisingly suspenseful story that begins innocently and turns to a darker side much faster than I had anticipated. I enjoyed the author’s flow of the story, and the audio recording followed the characters and their definitions well. I had no..
