the MC is hardly a character. Basic nice guy with no personality. his love interest is the same and their interaction is boring to cringe for a midevil world. The hammer is annoying. It’s like a child forced into the story with intelligence it shouldn’t have and its audio is too loud. good leveling system..

I listen to quite a few of these style books/readings, and this one is an interesting and unique take on the trope that I found enjoyable. Good character development, interesting ideas that make the scenes unique and a new viewpoint (dungeon) that really changes the mechanics of the story. Great reading by Soundbooth as usual.
I enjoyed hearing about Bob settling into her new life and developing her talents as well as friendships. Very excited for next installment as the jeopardy continues to increase. Excellent voice acting once again!

The deck building premise is solid and the rules make sense. The overall story is structured heavily like a crime noir which will either be a win or a turn off, especially with the other ending.

I was pleasantly surprised delving down this rabbit hole! A fun adventure for any RPG/MMORPG fans complete with monsters, fairies, and other creatures – and yes, even the big bad wolf!I can’t recommend this book enough and look forward to the next adventure in the series!

It was a very fun book. I picked up a physical copy and listened to the audiobook along side with reading. If you love Terry Pratchett then you’d enjoy this book as well.

It picks up right after book 1 and is a good continuation of the original book. Alex does a good job at addressing all aspect of this world and blends in naturally into the story

Fun concept of rift and classes. Good surrounding cast. Fun dynamic with Roq and Ash. Definitely recommend.
