Great story, great narration. The depth of Emilia’s homicidal tendencies I was not expecting. Girl made the Trojan look like an appetizer in comparison to the conflict she started and maintained for centuries just to gain experience. There are only a few antagonists I’ve wanted to see dead as badly as I wanted her gone…
The story continues to be fun and entertaining, but even better is the set up a bigger threat for the Limpet in the end. And as always, the narration is great!
I love how well rounded the story and characters are. They feel sufficiently complex and have character developments and it has interesting and exciting world building. I was kinda disappointed there wasnt already an entire finished series here to binge and i will be getting the next book for sure
The story was pretty good overall. The echoing voices got to be annoying. My best guess is the echoes are supposed to represent people speaking aloud, while the non-echoing voices were narration and internal dialogue. the first book was really entertaining with great power builds and growth. this one was just awful and tried to hard to just be weird. I kept listening thinking that it would just get past the stupid part, but no, just kept trying way to hard to be weird and stupid. very disappointed.
