I don’t normally leave a review, but I would have preferred if the political views and views on firearms would have been left out and just had a good story. I’ve five Star liked everything else written by this author, except for this.
The story line is a great beach listen but the narrator’s tone and inflection is preventing me from finishing the book.
I now read everything from this author I can find. Well done. Characters to fall in love with, and a story line that flows smooth and easy.
The story is a rehash of an old movie with Kurt Russell. The characters are undeveloped and boring. The performance deserves a zero star. The downward inflection of his voice at the end of every sentence is mind-numbing.
As i look back over the story…. I have no clue why i loved this book so much. Good story. Great narration. When put together though, it was one of those rare easy listens. A real gem.
It is very chill and a nice easy going slice of life story. It is a nice change of pace for those who like spacer life.
Gripping story with mages, battles, space travel, intrigue, and a main character you can root for. A little too much neo-moralizing.
I bought this on the merits of the 1st book, It had some Liberal propaganda scattered through it, But was overall enough fun that I figured it was worth the money because it almost felt like satire. why else would they add a transvestite character that doesn’t talk, isn’t seen and only exists to have..
