I picked up this title last summer to keep my mind busy while gardening. Crossroads press did a stellar job with this production. To hear my favorites again and have the readings make other stories new favorites of mine was a treat.

One of the Grey Lensman’s cover characters wrote Space Operas. Now you can actually listen or read one.

This one for some reason is a favorite to listen too. Maybe it’s something about Ash being a biker as well as a badass but when he gets all sweet yeah all the feels!

This book takes the standard space invasion trope and turns it on its head with graphic imagery, hilarious imagery, and fast-paced dialogue. Completely and totally over the top, and completely and totally entertaining.

The premise was was done great but the chacthers seemed to straight in ideas that move from one action yo the next with no real experience in difference that that battle scenes where just reacts and old getting the new monsters to fight kept in original for each one.

I am a great fan of Nathan Lowell’s works and this one delivers. These stories are easy to read and listen to. A good blend of storytelling that feels like familiar old friends, with just enough mystery to move us forward without going over the top.

The book was very good. Plot moved at a good pace. The narrator has a raspy voice and was hard to listen to. This was distracting and I did finally turn him off.

Non-immersive, poor writing.. the story is riddled with 20th century cliches despite taking place in the far future. Author also can’t help but shoehorn his cringeworthy fad political beliefs into the story to the point it beggers belief. It’s immature writing and lacks all nuance. Skip this. Narrator does a good job, though.

You either don’t write a review or don’t listen to the book. That is the only way to win. Am I apart of the unkempt masses for writing a 4 star review like he told me to? Maybe, but I still loved the dark humor very apt ranting and seeming chaoticness of it all(even if..
