These are a few of my favorite things, and this has them all mixed with lots of pop-fiction references. Phipps and Kafer are perfect together: Phipps sets up the characters with sarcasm, and wit, then Kafer brings them to life. My favorite kind of irreverent series.

The authors are fond of stating that X study says, and then launching into a series of unrelated conclusions that sound as if they were somehow following on from the research, but are not. This is the sneaky kind of conservative argument that seeks to bring people into the conservatve thought sphere.
