I thought this was a great story, well thought out and expertly narrated by Jeffrey Kafer. It’s a different take on the Superhero genre. Told from the Supervillian’s perspective. Starting book 2 now.

I really enjoyed this story, as it involves Maddock and Bones in their last adventure as Navy SEALS. There are so many historical overtones and the action was non-stop, which made for a great audiobook experience. The narration by Jeffrey Kafer was top-notch, as always, and it was hard to stop listening.

likable characters, interesting story and satisfying conclusion. At no point did I question the logic of the story (within the confines it sets obviously…), which I find exceedingly rare these days. The performance didn’t stand out either, which is all I can ask for. just a great listen. highly recommended.
A rollercoaster through time.

Typically, I have just enough drive to fill out the stars on a book. Simply put, I’m lazy. But Jeremy Robinson did such a fantastic job on this book, that I found the drive to actually put in a review. This is not Shakespeare. It is more like Robin Williams adlibbing in “Good Morning Vietnam”…
