This is really more of a 3/12 star book that is rounded up to 4 stars. The main problem is the lead character is overpowered and never feels like he is in danger. Ultimately this is his narration telling us how he is going to win while taking every opportunity to poke fun of superhero..

Honestly, I don’t listen/read a lot of M/F Romance anymore due to the female always being strong at first then becoming a push over once meeting their man, but this was way different. I loved that Skylar wasn’t a push over. She was a strong, take charge, and doesn’t put up with anyone’s crap type..

Every time a Shadow Master book is released I end up dropping everything I am reading or listening to and enjoy the glory that is the combination of M. K. Gibson and Jeffrey Kafer. The world will be loosing something amazing if or when this series ends.
Gary is his Puntastic self just the same as the first book. love how the writer has not changed him or retconed.

This book was an easy read and kept my interest. The rest of the series is just as good!
the last one was the best in the series. But the tale the stotler went with bothered me. With the ultra xenophobic uktra conservative culture of the world today, these type of books that tend to glorify that ideology are just acting fuel to the flames.
I really enjoyed the first book in this series! Female narrator was very good but male seemed bored at times. The 2nd and 3rd books weren’t as funny to me as the first but developed the story further.
Its a trend I dont like, good stories with great concept that are written in a haste or written for an audible recording so they are intentionally short. they leave you with a feeling that something is missing, you wish they added more context and meat to the characters or backstory. Ct has become one of my favorite authors I’m onto book 7 of villanary and just downloaded his Jane series. Very happy I searched for super hero books and found this series. Gary is an amazing main character and the rest of the supporting cast is needed throughout the series. You will not be disappointed.
