I just listened to it again to refresh since the next book is available on audible now, and man it was great the second time!

Great mix of fantasy actuon and snarky humour. looking for ward to the next one in the series, and more of Merciless’ adventures with Cloak.

the comic book sarcasm makes this a great entertaining book. the writing is alright, but the love story is pretty lacking. the main character is why you would enjoy every dialog though and would listen to it again just for his quips.

i really like the storyline, and definitely the characters. but it feels like with each book, there’s more and more cussing… which i don’t need, in fact sometimes it’s distracting. I’m almost ready to stop the series and move on. wish i could get an edited version. then it would be awesome.

This book is an amazing and fantastic story in the starship’s Mage series it is a must listen to and one of the best books in the series

Although I am a huge fan of science fiction books, I do not typically enjoy post apocalyptic tales. However, this book is now one of my favorites.

It was a good story but a bit repetitive. the narration was great. looking forward to Max’s next adventure.

Heroes, despicable. villians will prevail! just read it, I’ll be reading the following books and everything else from this author.
