It didn’t strike me as warming or entertaining at first because of the narrator, but it grew on me as I continued on with it. Exciting and terrifying.
From the narration, to the plot and right the way through to the characters, this is an underwhelming read frequently punctuated with particulalry gruesome character deaths (which feel like the only reason the author wrote this book). Garth Marenghi does sci fi.
Overall this was an enjoyable listen and well worth picking up. At first I was enjoying the pop culture references but at some points it just became too much and took away from the actual story. The book crossovers were interesting but some of the crossover was a bit of a stretch and felt tossed..
