This was a fun book. Light and short and was a nice break from many of the heavier SF books out there.
Funny and he truly is a villian

I really enjoy reading Jeremy Robinson’s books….. but this one I couldn’t get into. Between the narrators voice and the odd relationships of the main character, I couldn’t continue. I’m sure by the end it’s a great book, but unfortunately it wasn’t for me.
Always fun and has just enough pop culture included to make it currently relevant. The Narration is great!
This is the first Jodi Vaughn book I have listened to and I was pleasantly surprised with how much I enjoyed it. I don’t usually choose shifter stories so I wasn’t sure what to expect. This book had a good storyline, great characters, action, suspense and even some comedy. The visit with granny was hilarious!..
short of any spoilers it starts of in the similar feel as the first book but end on kind of a darker note well written but the ending of the book is on the dark side
The whole series has been excellent. The characters, especially the main character, Ishmael, has proven to be very engaging and well thought out and believable. Seeing him grow from a young man with few prospects to a successful Captain has been interesting and fun. The whole host of situations he has faced as he has..
one of the best books I have ever listened to. can hardly wait for the sequel. the level of snark is through the roof. the narrator is absolutely perfect for this series.
There seem to be a lot of books right now with this genre – gently poking fun of the superhero genre through the eyes of a villain who’s relatable. The Rules of Supervillainy does it better than most. The reader was good, but I know him from “D-List Supervillain” and the voices sound very similar..
Ex special forces Reznick reminds me of a comic book hero because he is able to do just about anything better than anyone else and by himself. haha that being said I find these books entertaining even if I have to laugh at the things he is able to do.
I almost quit this book in the first 20 minutes. But I hung in there and I am glad I did. There were several points that I cringed at, such as chemical rockets for transcontinental flights. Plasma weapons for officers and only projectile rifles for enlisted. Come on.. But despite these points the book has..
