Everything works out for you. You take tests and without a huge and intense study period, you pass and move on up the ranks. You get along with your coworkers and help them grow as people. First book was interesting day in the life scifi for a new merchant mariner coming up with interesting solutions to problems, not really much conflict but just relaxing to listen to. This was a very enjoyable continuation from quarter share and really expanded the universe and characters. I look forward to checking out the next one shortly.

This book is really short. And it ends in a cliffhanger. There’s a lot of dialogue and not much action. You have had to read all the other books to understand this one. There is not much character growth or much to root for in this book. The other three were much better. I hope..

This sequel motivated me to take the long way home. WittyRepartee! Non sequiturs! Scathing observations delivered with perfect inflection and timing! The innovative twists on the (mumble) universe alone are worth a listen. Reality + super powers equals “break out the popcorn !” IOW: “It’s what makes me fun to read about.”
