Mixed Feelings

Review from All the Ugly and Wonderful Things →

This book was one that I would find any reason to get in the car and go somewhere just so I could continue listening. Considering the age of the main character, some parts of the story were difficult to get through. All in all it was a decent story line.

Excellent story

Review from Liar’s Bench →

Riveting listen, there is a liar’s bench in every place anywhere in the world. Fascinating way lies always unravel to expose truth, sometimes cold justice for victims, unnerving exposure of the brutality of racism then that still exists today, the truth of domestic abuse. Excellent narration.

Loved it

Review from Liar’s Bench →

I really enjoyed listening to this book. The author’s descriptions pulled me right in and made me feel like I was there. The narrator did a great job. Her tone and volume changed a little from chapter to chapter but it was easy to fall right back in. Loved her Southern accent.

Eh

Review from All the Ugly and Wonderful Things →

The storyline is kinda uncomfortable for me. Just not interested in grown men being with literal children but besides that.. the end of this book is completely rushed. It’s very obvious. Also some of the details do not line up at the end because of it being rushed.
