I couldn’t finish it, when they finally say their ages she’s 10 and he’s 24!!!! It’s so wrong. It’s should come with a disclaimer. It would’ve been a nice story if they were in legal ages or even both of them teens at least!!!! It’s so wrong!!!!

I’m trying to understand why this is a highly rated book. Are we not all reading the same thing?

I couldn’t stop listening until the end. I was surprised with how much I enjoyed this book.

This is not a provocative love story. It’s a story of a man in his 20s justifying his love for a child of trauma. Couldn’t finish. It’s predatory and disgusting.

Great story. Great character development. Although not politically correct, a beautiful love story. I can see how it would be triggering for past trauma in certain situations.

This was the worst book yet! The decisions these girls made were so unrealistic and the constant rape was absolutely sick. I could not even finish this book. Wast of my money!!

I absolutely loved this story and was so surprised at almost every turn. The narration was weird in several spots though, with voices switching when they shouldn’t. Not sure if it was an error with recording or playback but it was odd.

When I read the summary for this title, it made me nervous because although I’m a sucker for any love story, I don’t care for dreary titles that leave me feeling deflated. Well, I’m glad I took a chance on this one because it was not only unique, but it challenged me to let go..

Fabulous story – sweet, frustrating, hopeful, heartbreaking, shocking, and so well narrated. This is the best book my women’s book club has read in over 2 years. I had no idea this ship existed nor of it’s peril. I Highly recommend this book.
