Just read that other review and Completely love everything they disliked! Love Jack and Kari Ann, that slow southern draw is romantic and sweet! Absolutely loved the book! Didn’t venture where it would go but just loved that Jack fought for Kari Ann and took the time to win her back! Narrators were awesome!

In the late 40s & early 50s, I loved Nancy Drew so much that I ever sneaked a peek at the Hardy Boys that my brother was reading. Nice of you to bring them together, love it.
This book was beautifully written. While I was sick to my stomach at times I couldn’t put it down. It made me feel so many emotions and allowed me to have more open discussions with my friends about the topics involved.

I adore book sequences. I want to read on for more so I’m dedicated but this was quite a bit drawn out/ too much uncomfortable sex scenes & didn’t care for the narrator for Jack, or when the one for Kari Ann seemed to piece in or add in a few words and change into..
I don’t consider myself a prude, but a romance novel about a 25 year old man and a 13 year old girl was too disturbing for me. Not to mention that the man acknowledged that he “loved” the girl from the first time that he saw her when she was 8. Ewww!
