I have read 3 other books by this author. While not always amazing, they have been decent. This one was absolute torture to listen to. I kept pushing through because of all the great reviews, claiming there were twists. Nothing happens! It just drones on for hours without any point.

This was a difficult book to listen to even though the story flowed well. Lots of twists and turns…One might say too many twists and turns. Still was an interesting story although I again feel the fat could of been trimmed a bit – made it a little hard to follow.

I have never before had an author so obviously set up a lead-in to a sequel that I was grateful for. to be clear this story is wonderful standalone but instantly finish this book and bought the sequel to have these characters in my life again. Delicious imagery in the writing on every page. Delightful..
