I have read 3 other books by this author. While not always amazing, they have been decent. This one was absolute torture to listen to. I kept pushing through because of all the great reviews, claiming there were twists. Nothing happens! It just drones on for hours without any point.

I have never before had an author so obviously set up a lead-in to a sequel that I was grateful for. to be clear this story is wonderful standalone but instantly finish this book and bought the sequel to have these characters in my life again.
