It was unique and a good read/listen. The characters were amazing and memorable and you’ll never forget them. The switching between characters can get a bit confusing but overall it was amazing and a great way to inform a younger audience about a horrible event in history.

The reality of a family time that many social support systems, or so-called middle class members, will never admit to be a part of our world. This story opened my heart to what “family” might actually be for some of our children who are often viewed as too “icky” to deserve love.

I really enjoyed this book. Kept you guessing and wanting to hear more. I read some comments about the narrators and at first I didn’t live them but they grew on me. Definitely a good listen if you like thriller mystery books

While the story of the characters is fictional, the story about the sinking of the MV Wilhelm Gustoff is not fictional. Great story and narration!

The characters were nicely developed and portrayed by the readers. I loved having several readers depicting the characters.

Good series – however I’m not happy with the Hurley – Mattie relationship progression! Nor the direction of Mattie’s character – wimpy Whiney “me” shit – grow a pair girl!

The story starts great, i’m thinking a stranger is caring for a little girl with careless parents….. I kept thinking he just cares for her differently.
