Ok, so this story was a little strange, very real (if you grew up with extreme disfunction in your family) and had me gripped until the end. Worth listening to every word.

Kellen was the only person besides Donal and her grandmother who really cared about Wavy. Her parents sure didn’t. Some people should never be parents. Kellen and Wavy worked in this situation. I loved this book.

I’m giving three stars because despite how annoyed I was with the main character and the narration of her, I finished listening to the entire book, so there must’ve been something that kept drawing me in. Can’t quite put my finger on it except that I really wanted to see how both of the leading..

I’ve enjoyed enough Audible books to know a great performance. This one is a 10! Sometimes I’m skeptical of multi-character books but I’m so glad I didn’t pass this one up. Each voice actor could have stood on their own but blended perfectly for the wonderful story Ruta Sepetys dreamt up.

this book is just wrong. it is trying to normalize something completely inappropriate. didnt like it.

The narrators sounded like they had mouths full of spit and the way the woman spoke of the baby was borderline disgusting.
