This book taught me many things about the war with the Germans, and open my eyes to the suffering that went on beyond the concentration camps with the civilians and refugees.
Good book, listened while doing projects. I stopped and sat to take in a few parts, shed a couple tears while smiling. Finished and recommend.
I absolutely enjoyed listening to this audiobook. I’m glad I was finally able to listen to it. I love it. I need my very own Jack. Love Keri Ann. Beautiful story and OhMgee that ending!! Audible Plus Rocks!!!
Trust me when I say this is absolutely fascinating, heartbreaking, exhilarating, and full of useful information from start to finish. Completely worth the credit. God bless these strong women.
I enjoyed all aspects of this book on audible. I truly didn’t see the ending coming. usually I can figure books out but not this one. It kept me on my toes.
I loved this story – the characters, the narrator and the unexpected twists and turns. I also learned quite a bit about the Spanish flu epidemic. Very good book!
Ok, so this story was a little strange, very real (if you grew up with extreme disfunction in your family) and had me gripped until the end. Worth listening to every word.
Kellen was the only person besides Donal and her grandmother who really cared about Wavy. Her parents sure didn’t. Some people should never be parents. Kellen and Wavy worked in this situation. I loved this book.
I’m giving three stars because despite how annoyed I was with the main character and the narration of her, I finished listening to the entire book, so there must’ve been something that kept drawing me in. Can’t quite put my finger on it except that I really wanted to see how both of the leading..
